Google Desktop Crippled My Computer!

Google Desktop really is quite a handy-dandy little tool for Microsoft Windows. It basically provides a search engine for one's own computer. It goes through and indexes files, folders, mail, Web history, etc. The user can then search for file names and/or content.

Well, that's pretty sweet, right?
Not for me, at least...

For some reason, after installing, all control panels (.cpl files) stopped working. Rundll32.exe shows up in the processes for a split-second, then disappears.

In addition, cmd.exe is also mysteriously killed... Starting a command prompt from the WINDOWSKEY-R combo doesn't even work!!

Immediately after uninstallation, everything goes back to normal.

What the hell!?
